Celebrating the Champions Behind the Impact: DADE Initiative Honors 2026 Accessibility Ambassadors

đź“… September 30, 2026

At DADE Initiative, every step toward a more inclusive society is driven by passionate people on the ground. Following the successful completion of the Accessibility Ambassadors Campaign (AAC) 2026, we are taking a moment to celebrate the dedicated volunteers who made this nationwide milestone possible.

Operating under the theme "From Assessment to Action," our 2026 cohort of 15 Accessibility Ambassadors took disability inclusion directly into local communities. Over four weeks, they conducted 16 sessions across 7 states—reaching nearly 700 individuals in schools, healthcare facilities, places of worship, workplaces, and media platforms. Their work went far beyond raising awareness: they identified real physical barriers and secured direct commitments from leaders to make their spaces accessible.

To honor their dedication, DADE Initiative launched custom Ambassador Spotlight Cards across our digital platforms. These individual spotlights recognize each ambassador’s unique contributions, celebrating the hands-on effort required to turn conversations about accessibility into tangible community progress.

This recognition reflects a core value at DADE Initiative: honoring our volunteers not just for the metrics they deliver, but for their commitment to driving lasting social change. As our programs expand across Nigeria, the success of AAC 2026 demonstrates the growing strength of our volunteer network and our shared dedication to building an accessible world for everyone.
